This software was written in an effort to improve meet efficiency and make the NAIGC a little more uniform and cohesive as a unit. Because most of the members of the NAIGC are only going to school for the normal 4-5 years, there is tremendous turnover in our organization. Efforts to improve communication and bring the organization together include the list-serv and the website. The list-serv is an easy way for everyone to keep up with what's going on and the website provides a place for all of our resources to be stored.

Meets: The software was written to make the job of meet director easier. The people who run the meets have often times not run one before or at least have not run very many. With a turnover of about 4 years how could they? A large part of running a meet is the scoring. This software aims to take care of that completely and future releases will add new features to help with organization. Additions such as printing score cards for the judges to use are already planned. Also, because I wrote the software for the NAIGC and I want it to be as useful as possible, I will make improvements based on suggestions from the users. If the scoring software is used in a meet and you have an idea for how it could be used better then let me know.

NAIGC: The website will eventually have an archive of all NAIGC meet results. This would be a lot easier to maintain if everyone was using the same software and had the same format for their results. My program was designed to be able to plug into the existing website and provide interactive meet results. In time I would like to add features such as looking at a certain person or school over an entire season.
