Gymnast/Team Entry Form

The entry form is used to enter the the teams and gymnasts into the database.

Overview

Click on the File menu, then Gymnast/Team Entry menu to open the form. The form is divided into three sections.

The top section is used for entering School name, initials, and whether the team is competing for the team award. The bottom section lists all of the teams in the database. The middle section is used for entering gymnasts.

Objects

Team Section

Since each gymnast belongs to a team, the team must be entered before gymnasts can be entered for that team. Teams may be entered in any order.

School Name textbox

Enter or revise the school name in the textbox.

Initials textbox

Enter or revise the school initials in the textbox. Be sure to use unique initials for each team to avoid confusion.

Men checkbox

Check if the mens team is in contention for the team award.

Women checkbox

Check if the womens team is in contention for the team award.

Add button

Click to add the current team to the database. Note the Add button is not visible when editing a previously entered team.

Update button

Click the Update button to accept changes made to the team information. Note the Update button is only visible when editing a previously entered team.

Cancel button

Click the Cancel button to reject changes made to the team information. Note the Cancel button is only visible when editing a previously entered team.

Gymnast Section

The Gymnast section is for entering new gymnasts. Errors can be corrected on the Events form.

Team drop down box

Select a team by its initials. The last team entered or selected is the default value.

Gender drop down box

Select one or the other. Duh!!!

Last Name textbox

Enter the gymnast's last name.

First Name textbox

Enter the gymnast's first name.

Events Competing checkboxes

Check those events in which the gymnast intends to compete. The specific checkboxes are gender dependant. This is used by the List Missing function. If you don't need the ability to check for missing scores then these check boxes need not be used.

Add button

Click the Add button to save the gymnast data to the database.

Team List

The team list displays all teams in the database. Click on any team to revise any fields in the Team section.

Ok button

Click to close the form. Note that any information in the Team or Gymnasts sections above will be lost unless the appropriate Add or Update button has been clicked.
